Terms of Service
Note: These Terms are a starting template generated for launch readiness. Have a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction review them before relying on them in disputes or before charging customers.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TMYG web application, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by The Modern Youth Group (“TMYG,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms to use the Service. The Service is intended for use by church leaders, ministry staff, and adult volunteers responsible for managing youth ministries.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this obligation.
4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Trials
- Free Plan: The Free plan is available indefinitely subject to the feature limits described on our pricing page.
- Paid Plans: Standard and Premium plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. By providing payment information, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge the recurring fee for the plan you select.
- Free Trial: New accounts may receive a 14-day free trial of paid features. No credit card is required to start a trial. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, your account will revert to the Free plan; your data is preserved.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal accessible from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until that date.
- Refunds: Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law. Annual subscriptions are refundable on a pro-rata basis within 30 days of purchase.
- Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days’ notice. Founding-member pricing, where offered, is honored for the period stated at the time of purchase.
- Failed Payments: If a payment fails, we will notify you and retry. After repeated failures, your account may be downgraded to the Free plan or suspended.
- Taxes: Listed prices do not include taxes; you are responsible for any applicable taxes.
